As representatives of the AutoMate Scientific, Harvard (formerly Medical Systems) and the Scientific Systems Design ranges of products, we are able to offer chambers and temperature controlled micro-incubators to suit many in vitro recording situations, such as two electrode voltage clamping in Xenopus oocytes, patch clamp or field potential recording from brain slices or isolated cells and even imaging studies of cells grown on chamber slides.
Automate Scientific Perfusion & Microscope Stage Chambers
Automate Scientific manufacture a couple of chambers for use at ambient temperatures or with pre-heated perfusates. The OPC-1 is designed for use with Xenopus oocytes under two electrode voltage clamp, while the PCP-1 is a clever insert for 35mm petri dishes which provides for easy multi-channel perfusion of isolated cells and waste aspiration. More recently AutoMate have launched their own range of QuickStage heated and unheated microscope stage chambers, compatible with all the popular microscope manufacturers.
Medical Systems Microincubators
The Medical Systems range of micro-incubators all offer temperature control, either by heating alone or heating and cooling through Peltier devices. Our most popular incubator is the PDMI-2 which accepts disposable 35mm petri dishes or special MSC-TD teflon/glass dishes and is ideally suited to applications requiring rigorous temperature control along with good instrument access and heated/cooled perfusion lines. All our Medical Systems incubators are compatible with the TC202A Bipolar Temperature Controller.
Scientific Systems Design Brain Slice Chambers
Scientific Systems Design manufacture acrylic chambers for a range of applications, including stage mounted (MS and MC series), submerged (Oslo type) or interface (Haas type) recording from brain or tissue slices in either temperature controlled or ambient conditions. Chamber heating is made possible with the dedicated PTC03 Proportional Temperature Controller or MH02 inline heater.
