Ultrasound bladder scanners are commonly used in the acute care, rehabilitation, long-term care environments, urology and gynecology.
The Scanmaster is an easy to use USB 3D ultrasound bladder scanner that measures the bladder volume and Post Voiding Residual (PVR) non-invasively.
The Scanmaster 3D ultrasound probe connects to any computer running a Windows operating system.
The Scanmaster is now available for daily use in hospitals.
An easy to move cart is available optionally. The Scanmaster will be integrated with the MMS Solar and Nexus Pro urodynamic systems offering a total solution where PVR and bladder images are integrated in the urodynamic report.
- Measures bladder volume and Post Void Residual (PVR)
- Evaluates the need to catheterize
Ultrasound is a proven technology based on reflections of ultrasonic waves. Ultrasound is used to non-invasively visualize, monitor and perform measurements in the human body.
For bladder volume measurements the bladder is differentiated from surrounding tissues by ultrasonic reflections. Its volume then is calculated based on bladder wall detection and a clinically tested algorithm.
